This farm was bought in 2010 and it has been certified Organic by NOFA every year since then. There are 65+/- acres, (30 acres open pastures, 35 acres woods) has a fenced-in orchard with apple and pear trees, four large fenced-in pastures, and a barn with a fenced-in paddock. The main home which was begun in 2015 is a timber frame super-insulated building about 2600sf on 2.5 floors. It has an attached carport with four bays, and a summer room at one end with a root cellar beneath.
The property comes with a one floor double-wide (1700 sf). It was modified somewhat according to ADA standards for accessibility. And there is a 3rd building, built in 2012 which is also a super-insulated building. It has commercial sales area/processing plant downstairs and an upstairs 2-bedroom apartment with galley kitchen and full bath, totaling around 2400sf on the 2 floors. This also has over 500sf of covered area for storage and animal pens. The medium sized barn has two stalls, a work area, an insulated room for raising chicks and a chicken coop. The loft can hold approximately 1400 bales of hay. And there are several great building sites with privacy if more residences would be needed.
